The search for Luke's gun(s) continues ...

Could this be one of, who knows have many, guns owned by Luke?

Luke's wifes name was Hettie Buck. Recently a Buck descendant contacted me for some help and information. During our conversation I learned he had recently been given the revolver pictured here by his father. His father told him many stories about Luke and his connection to the Buck family.

This appears to be a Colt's Model 1851 which was manufactured from 1850 to 1873 with some 214,000 made. Colt made both a Military and Civilian model. The Military model was stamped "USN" on the butt.

As new information comes to light I'll post it so keep checking back.
